Lovinsky Pierre-Antoine is a Haitian Human Rights Defender that was kidnapped August 12, 2007 after meeting with a United States Human Rights Delegation that visited Haiti. Amnesty International, United States Congresswoman Maxine Waters, actors such as Danny Glover, Martin Sheen, and Vanessa Redgrave, and author George Lamming have reported on the subject, appealed to the United Nations and Haiti’s President Rene Preval, signed petitions, spoke at Lovinsky events.
All of these things are an effort to demand the immediate and safe return of this Haitian Human Rights Defender.
