There are different levels of management within companies. Lower, Middle, Upper, and Executive Management. To manage something according to Funk & Wagnalls New Comprehensive International Dictionary of the English Language is to direct or conduct the affairs or interests of : to control the direction, operation, etc., or, as a machine. Something manageable is capable of being managed; tractable; docile.
Management is the act or “Art”, or manner of managing, controlling, or conducting, and the skillful use of means to accomplish a purpose.
Each level of management has a different purpose to accomplish. As a manager, it is important to know the company mission, purpose, and direction.
